CODE OF CONDUCT

Greach is a community conference focused on networking and collaboration in the developer community. We want every attendee, speaker, sponsor and volunteer to have a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience. All participants are expected to show respect and courtesy to others at all conference events.

To make our expectations clear, everyone attending any Greach activity must follow this Code of Conduct. The organizing team will enforce this code throughout the event.

THE SHORT VERSION

Greach is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.

All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience. Sexual language or imagery, intimidation, or exclusionary jokes have no place at the conference or in related online media. Be kind to others. Do not insult or demean other participants.

Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the organizers.

THE LONGER VERSION

Harassment includes offensive comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion; deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, unwanted photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Exhibitors, sponsors and speakers are also subject to this Code of Conduct. They should not use sexualized images, activities, clothing or materials. Booth staff, including volunteers, must avoid creating a sexualized environment.

Excessive swearing, aggressive behavior, or “jokes” that reinforce sexist, racist or otherwise exclusionary stereotypes are not appropriate for Greach.

Participants asked to stop any harassing or disruptive behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, organizers may take any action they consider appropriate, including verbal warning or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

Staff will gladly help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist anyone experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
